We have a large list of species to choose from. Whenever we are currently not accepting a specific species we'll have the title crossed out. So watch for that.

We may add our very own species too this list as well, and we may also take original species. though you'll have to discuss those ideas through Pm with

A Doppelgänger (or a "Shadow Self") is a person who happens to be a supernatural double of a person that has lived before them. They are Nature's way of balancing itself, by repeatedly creating mortal counterparts of truly immortal beings to live and eventually die in their place. For over two thousand years, Amara's and Silas' shadows have appeared over the centuries to take their places as mortal human beings. While their lives don't always follow an exact pattern they tend to find each other and fall in love with one another over the centuries.

Humans are mortal beings characterized by their incapability to exhibit magical or supernatural powers.

Hybrids are a supernatural crossbreed between two or more different species. The term is commonly used to describe a werewolf turned into a vampire because they were the first type of hybrid to exist, however, they are not the only ones to exist.

An Immortal Being, or simply an Immortal for short, is a species of supernatural creature that is truly immortal and cannot be killed by any weapon. They are basically proto forms of vampires. The term Immortal is used to describe the species of Silas and Amara, the very first immortal beings in history. To become an immortal, one must drink the immortality elixir, which Qetsiyah had created by the use of magic. Immortals can be considered as the first vampires due to the fact that they also need to drink blood to function, however, Immortals differ from regular Vampires in many different ways, the biggest of those differences being that they are not undead like regular Vampires.

The Original Vampires, or simply The Originals for short, are a group of vampires that are known for being the first of their bloodline and the first generation of vampires, hence the name, making them the oldest vampires in the world with the exception of Alaric, as he is an Original through species, being turned 1,000 years after the Mikaelson Originals. Their name is a term used to describe a progenitor in a vampire bloodline.

The Spirits are the totality of all non-living witches who inhabit the Other Side. The Spirits are extremely powerful and are considered the binding force between the elements of the Earth and the forces of nature.

The Travelers are a mysterious, several-millenia-old, once powerful, cursed sub-culture of witches who have presumably been transmitting the knowledge of their spells from one generation to another since their emergence around the time of the Roman Empire, in modern Europe.

Vampires are supernaturally reanimated corpses, inhabited by the spirit of the deceased, that feed and survive on the blood of the living, especially on human blood . Vampires are one of the many known supernatural species in The Vampire Diaries, and The Originals Universe.

A witch is a person, especially female, with the power to affect change by supernatural means.

Werewolves (also called Lycanthropes, Loup Garou, and Beasts) are a near-extinct supernatural species of individuals who unwillingly transform into fearsome and extremely hostile wolves on the night of the full moon . Even in their human form werewolves possess superhuman physical prowess, but not to the same level as a vampire and not as powerful as on a full moon. These creatures are the most dangerous enemies of vampires, due to their bite which can kill a vampire. Werewolves are also hardwired to kill vampires on sight in their wolf form, though they still hunt human prey whenever there are no vampires to kill.
