HISTORY LOG: Elena was born into the word June 22nd 1992, to Isobel Flemming, and Johnathan Gilbert. It was soon after that she was given to Grayson and Miranda Gilbert, in which she didn't find out about until recently. Elena grew up not knowing what the future would hold for her. It wasn't until many years later that her life would change forever, and take a huge twist in all reality, warping it completely.
After sneaking out with her friends to a party, her parents were furious and went to pick her up. On the way back home her father had lost complete control of the wheel and wrecked. It was clear that they were basically let to die, because no one could do anything. The car had landed in the lake below, and thought Elena is alive today she had no idea for a long period of time. It was later revealed Stefan had removed her from the vehicle, but it was too late to save her parents as well.
Once that horrific incident took place, Elena and her younger brother Jeremy were sent to live with their Aunt Jenna, in Mystic Falls. There were countless things that happened such as Stefan Salvatore started school around the same time as Elena did in Mystic Falls. Since she didn't remember him though, she found him cute and they started talking and hanging out. Stefan mentioned nothing of his brother Damon, but Elena discovered him herself one day at Stefan's home. It was soon a fight for her love between Damon and Stefan. Elena truly loved Stefan, but Damon wasn't giving up. It turns out, she's a relative of their old flame, Katherine Pierce. Who was the vampire that turned both of them. It made much more sense once Elena discovered all the things about them out.
It took a bit, but she discovered that both of them were vampires, and then it lead into discovering her best friend, Bonnie Bennett, was a witch. Elena next discovered she was a doppelganger of Katherine, and that Isobel Flemming was her birth mother, who was a direct descendant of Katherine Pierce. After a ton of events, which included her growing closer to both brothers, Elena tolerated Damon, because she loved Stefan. Stefan wanted his brother to leave, and Damon was staying to torture Stefan. It was a chain of events that meant the beginning of war in Mystic Falls.
Caroline was another one of Elena's closes friends, and she ended up hooking up with Damon in the beginning. He used her to feed, and eventually Elena figured that out as well. Caroline later became a vampire, thanks to Mister Damon Salvatore. While her younger brother Jeremy was having to battle a long time love, Vicki, who was also a vampire now thanks to Damon. Vicki is staked by Elena, and the body is disposed of. Vicki was also the sister of Matt Donovan, who was Elena boyfriend when they were a bit younger.
Love was to good to be true, after Damon was bit by Tyler Lockwood, a Hybrid created by Klaus himself whom is also a Hybrid, Stefan risked all he had to save his brother. Leaving Elena and joining sides with Klaus, one of the Original vampires and basically the leader. Klaus had a long list of family members in coffins and was known by all vampires, and had been the reason for many of them changed. Stefan gave up his humanity and his memory in order to save Damon. Klaus provided Damon with the cure, and Damon was alright then. However, Jeremy was shot by Officer Forbes who was trying to shoot Damon while he was still on a rampage of insanity. Leaving Jeremy to die, for Caroline didn't make in time to provide him with any of her blood.
Bonnie had been dating Jeremy at the time, and used her magic to bring him back to life. Upon doing so, Jeremy started seeing the ghosts' of his ex-girlfriends. Bonnie witnessed him kissing Anna, a vampire girl who was locked in a tomb and staked before she had a chance. Their relationship became rocky, and it's likely to crumble at any time. Now Elena is dealing with Stefan's memory problems, and all of the crap Damon seems to be throwing on her. Elena wants Stefan to remember, and she wants him back for he is her true love. The only problem was, Katherine. Katherine came back and trying to make him fall for her.
Either way, as time went on Elena started noticing her feelings drifting. Stefan finally returned from his Ripper state, but Elena fell for someone else. Damon was her new love, and though many considered him stupid and immature. Elena saw the goodness in him, and not to mention the way he made her feel. So more hell broke loose when she fell for Damon and chose him over Stefan.

Why was everyone calling her selfish? Poor little Elena, always the damsel in distress, but never out of her own inflated attitude. The reason she was always caught in this predicament was the simple fact that she was the opposite of selfish. Elena Gilbert was completely selfless. Lying her head under a blade any day for the well-being of others'. It was the reason she was a vampire now, and the reason she wasn't human-- scratch that. She was pretty selfish when she jammed that cure down Katherine's throat, but hey. She was so busy taking care of everyone else, it was time for a little her time.
It was strange, being a vampire. Even though it had been over a year now, she was still getting used to it. Being faster than the average human was fascinating, don't get it twisted. It just made normal life impossible. Being human had made life difficult, but now it was impossible. No matter what she did, the supernatural lifestyle was forever in her way.
Now, she's battling depression with all the new twists and turns in her story. Elena rested her head in her hand, and glanced out the dorm window. Caroline was not telling where, but Elena was trying to relax for a little bit. Anything to try, and get things off her shoulders. The tension wasn't disappearing though. Her eyes looked up toward the sky, and she noticed it was darkening. "Great. Another rainy day."
It had rained at least three days straight, and it was really bothersome. With a sigh she stood up, but the sudden sound of footsteps brought her at attention. She looked toward the door, expecting for someone to knock, but no one did. Instead, she saw the doorknob turning. Her first thoughts' were Caroline, but another part of her was still wishing to see Bonnie burst through the door. That darn friend of her's still wasn't answering emails, or calls. Where was she?
